Course Description: Join Dr. Ryan Westrum, PhD on a journey which explores a new way to look at BDSM and its potential to bring profound experience and meaning into our lives.

Sex and Spirituality have been compartmentalized for centuries. It is only recently that we have taken off the lid and begun talking about the intimate connection of spirituality, religion, and encountering the sacred/divine through sex -- and more specifically, through BDSM.  

During this interactive workshop we will discuss common ways to explore transcendence through BDSM, and we will learn about opportunities to connect spirituality with BDSM and sexual practice.

The Sacred Kink Workshop is a group-focused class designed to invite participants to talk, listen, and learn about the intimate ways we can connect with our partners and draw on our deeper spiritual beings. The class will incorporate both group discussion and exercises, and participants are highly encouraged to offer their own insights and questions.

• What is Transcendent Kink
• How to create and implement Intention
• Developing Sacred Space in sexuality
• Toys and the Rituals you can develop
• Classic ways to engage in BDSM and Transcendence
• We will maintain an interactive conversation focused on supporting sacred sexual experiences.

Instructor: Dr. Ryan Westrum is the founder and visionary of Healing Souls. A mental health practitioner for over 15 years, Ryan leverages his background in traditional therapeutic methods and infuses his work with holistic, intuitive therapies that empower individuals to take charge of their sexual identity and behaviors. Ryan earned his Doctorate of Transpersonal Psychology from Sofia University, San Francisco. He also has an M.A. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Adler Graduate School and received his BA in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Transcendent kink has been a primary topic of focus in his research and writing.
